Assessments for speech pathology are available for children (0-15 years) who have difficulty with speech sounds, talking, understanding, reading, spelling, stuttering, dysphagia, feeding difficulties, and restricted diets.

Therapy available for children (0-15 years) who have difficulty with speech sounds, talking, understanding, reading, spelling, stuttering, dysphagia, feeding difficulties, and restricted diets. Your child will most likely need an initial assessment prior to commencing therapy. Please see costs under Speech Pathology Assessment.

If you do not show up or if you provide less than 2 business days notice you will be charged the full fee for your appointment. This is because your therapist has already spent time preparing for your session and without adequate notice, it is unlikely we will be able to fill your appointment to cover wages and overhead costs. Other families on the waitlist are also waiting for ongoing appointments, not a once-off appointment.

Instead of your face-to-face session, Sound Beginnings can provide a telehealth session, send you a recorded session, do parent training, provide homework packs, do letters or reports for you and contact your key supports e.g. GP, school, daycare, and other therapists. If we can fill your empty appointment slot, you will not be charged.
